Revenge, terrible revenge. Jannik Sinner beats Djokovic for the second time in ten days (6-2, 2-6, 7-5) and keeps Italy alive. The Azzurri (who had fallen behind to Serbia in the afternoon with Musetti's defeat against Kecmanovic) will play for access to the Davis Cup final with a double, with Sonego and Sinner (again) facing Kecmanovic and Nole.

The South Tyrolean had started the match very well, winning the first set 6-2 . In the second Djokovic wakes up and returns to his battle form: he equalizes the score with another 2-6 and postpones the discussion to the third act.

It is here that Jannik accomplishes his masterpiece: he keeps the challenge in balance, then Nole breaks away, launching the attack that seems decisive. In the tenth game, with the blue serving, Djokovic goes to 0-40 and has three match points: Sinner cancels them all, one by one, sets the break and wins in the twelfth game . Italy is still alive.
