«I'm super excited because I feel like I'm here representing Sardinia and for me it's a great responsibility ».

Dany Cabras, 30 years old, born in Cagliari but lives in Domus de Maria , is now a star of the Prima Festival : together with Paola and Chiara and Mattia Stanga he has contributed to making it an essential moment of the Sanremo experience with record ratings.

The scene of pane carasau offered to Mahmood as a good luck charm went viral, like that of his most famous character, that of the apprehensive Sardinian mother, who prepares the sauce in front of the Ariston. When her mother, the real one, discovered that she would host the Prima Festival "she fainted".

What was your relationship with Sanremo before this festival?

«I started seeing him from the first Amadeus: he revolutionized the show by attracting many young people. And I was among them."

The reaction of his followers?

«The vast majority appreciated it: he is always there to motivate me, to fill me with positive messages. I try to reply to everyone, even if there are many messages, because for me it's an honor. It's an exchange between me and them, and I receive a lot."
Your typical day in Sanremo?

«In the morning I wake up quite early, there are many interviews to do, then I receive the program script and start working on it. I have a lot of freedom in the contents, I indulge myself, for me it's like a job."

But it is, a job...

«Well I worked as a worker at Forte Village, I know what it means to spend eight hours, ten hours, under the sun, working my butt off and lifting the bars. All in all, I'm having fun here."

How is your relationship with Mahmood?

«A golden person, splendid and very kind just as he appears. It was nice to talk to him in Sardinian in front of the Ariston, before recording."

Happy with the choice of Bitti's Tenores for the duets?

«Very much, this is a special year for us Sardinians. We're getting everywhere. I can't wait to see them and I hope to be able to interview them at the Prima Festival."

With Mattia Stanga?

«We reached an incredible harmony: we only met here, even if we followed each other on social media, but we immediately got along well».

Paola and Chiara?

«They are absolute queens. They still try to teach me to dance, even though I'm the worst of them all. I can barely bend down to tie my shoes."

Amadeus?

«I'm proud to work with him, as soon as the episode ends I always send him a little message».

Fiorello?

«I already knew him, from the days when I worked at the Fort and he had a house nearby. The first time I met him I said: “Hi, do you remember that boy at the bar at the Fort? It was me! And now I host the Prima Festival"".

Favorite artist?

«Irama, I'm rooting for him».
