The start of the cycling season of the Unione Ciclisti Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol is underway. And the runner from San Vito, Ignazio Cireddu, will also be there. Last season, the nineteen-year-old came fourth in the Italian team championship and won the cyclocross race in Arborea among the Under 23s.
«A boy who promises well», we read on the official website of the team based in Tezze sul Brenta in the province of Vicenza. The retreat takes place in Tezze di Piave. Tests on the Pianezze climb are scheduled during the first week and training on the 100 kilometer distance at the end and beginning of the week. The athletes will remain at home for Christmas and New Year, starting from mid-January while waiting for the first race scheduled for the end of February.
Cireddu is ready to face the new season knowing that it could be decisive for his career. He is making enormous sacrifices, training hard every day with quality and quantity. Having obtained his high school diploma, he will now dedicate himself totally to cycling with the aim of achieving the dream of any boy of his age, racing with professionals and perhaps taking part in the Giro d'Italia.
He doesn't lack character and qualities. Ignazio Cireddu is a son of art, his father Roberto also raced, reaching good levels.
