The natural, archaeological and cultural beauties of a territory that represents the ancient heart of Sardinia promoted and enhanced before the eyes of the whole world. This is the objective that the mayors of the Union of Trexenta municipalities have set themselves by giving life, for the three-year period 2022-2024, to the "Trexenta Experience" project, protagonist of the "TourismA" exhibition of archeology and cultural tourism held   in the Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence. During the event the numerous visitors present had the opportunity to learn curiosities and information about the services and archaeological sites, immersing themselves in the beauty of those timeless places.

The institutional representatives and professional figures of the territory were able to illustrate the work carried out in the first two years and announce the events that will take place in 2024 during the conference "Archaeological tourism becomes experiential", coordinated by Daniela Deidda. The opportunity was also taken to talk about the "Luigi Crespellani Award", the public recognition given to those local authorities that have distinguished themselves for organizational innovation and collaboration between entities, components of civil society and regional territories, with interventions of excellence in diversity of the territories, and which saw the Trexenta Union win second place.

«The project was born on the initiative of the Union of Municipalities to promote the entire Trexenta as the only tourist destination – said the mayor of Ortacesus Maria Carmela Lecca –; in this way it is possible to enhance a vast area by offering visitors a rich and varied tourist package, through the itineraries of the towns of the entire territory". Trexenta Experience constitutes a territorial promotion network which, in two years full of projects and initiatives, has allowed the rediscovery of treasures of the area that had been neglected for a long time. «We have brought Trexenta in its entirety and in its beauty», enthusiastically stated Antonello Perra, mayor of Siurgus Donigala, who also spoke at TourismA.
