Cruises, record numbers in Sardinian ports: over 600 thousand passengers expected
The island is among the most requested destinations in the Mediterranean. From the Seatrade of Miami, for the Sardinian ports, dockings are increasing for 2025.
The announcement by Massimo Deiana, president of the Port System Authority of the Sea of Sardinia : «After this year's record with 500 thousand passengers in the 6 ports of the island, by 2025 we hope to reach over 600 thousand cruise passengers who will visit Sardinia from north to south: with the large Costa and MSC companies in the two ports of Cagliari and Olbia, but also luxury cruises, in the two ports of Arbatax and Oristano, which for some years have been among the new destinations on the island for cruises ».
And the Sardinian ports are facing the energy transition, which will allow them to be even more competitive in the Mediterranean.
