Simone Cristicchi has suspended his concerts, at least temporarily. The announcement was first made in a statement from the organizers of the concert scheduled for tomorrow at Forte di Bard as part of the Aosta Classica festival, which referred to a "supervening health problem."

Then the explanation, via social media, from the artist himself.

"It is with great regret," the Roman singer writes, "that I must announce that due to a sudden health problem, I will be forced to cancel my concert as part of the Aosta Classica festival . I have been diagnosed with Bell's palsy (a form of facial nerve paralysis, ed.) , a temporary condition that requires rest and attention . Thank you for your understanding."

THE DISEASE – Bell's palsy is a form of facial paralysis resulting from dysfunction of the seventh cranial nerve (facial nerve), which causes the inability to control facial muscles on the affected side. Various pathological conditions can cause the disorder, which can have a sudden onset, for example during the night. To date, no definitive cause has been identified for Bell's palsy.

In recent months , Simona Ventura had also been struck by a similar form of facial paralysis : despite this, she still decided to go on air, even with half of her face blocked.
