Cristiano De Andrè in Riola Sardo: "I sing my father's songs to keep his ideas alive."
Tonight's performance in LanuseiA wonderful musical adventure, pieces of history and the lives of so many people. De Andrè sings De Andrè. Cristiano sings Fabrizio's songs. Songs with a new musical guise.
The new outfit enhances the allure of the music. Cristiano De Andrè, after Alghero, arrives on the stage of Riola Sardo, Parco dei Suoni, a magical atmosphere. Poetry and music.
Cristiano, along with Osvaldo Di Dio (guitars), Davide Pezzin (bass and double bass), Luciano Luisi (keyboards), and Ivano Zanotti (drums), with Giancarlo Pierozzi, sound engineer. All of Fabrizio De Andrè is there, almost all of him, without disappointing the audience's expectations, with the consistency and rigor of his son, a talented multi-instrumentalist, who recalls the plight of the people of Gaza and calls for concrete action for the Palestinian cause.
The concert concludes with "Verranno a chiederti del nostro amore" (They Will Ask You About Our Love), following many timeless songs like "Bocca di Rosa," "Il pescatore," "Fiume Sand Creek," "La canzone del padre," and "Amico Fragile." Cristiano is preparing his new album, but he reinterprets, as a "close relative," songs that have become part of music history.
"I do it to give new vigor to his ideas, to the values he believed in." Cristiano De Andrè, at the end, asked his friend, writer Alfredo Franchini, author of the book "God is free, neighbors cost money - The Gospel of De Andrè and Pasolini" (Arcana editions), to join him on stage. This performance will be repeated on Saturday, August 2nd in Lanusei at 9 pm for the Rocce Rosse & Blues Festival. The video features some moments from the concert at Parco dei Suoni in Riola Sardo.
