Covid, "updated" vaccines are arriving in pharmacies
Different timing for each territory. Among the first is Lombardy, which will open bookings on 9 October
The updated anti-Covid and anti-flu vaccines «are arriving in the Regions and, therefore, in pharmacies .
«The vaccination campaign will start as early as next week, albeit with a different timing in the area». This was announced by Andrea Mandelli, president of the Federation of Italian Pharmacists' Orders (FOFI).
The vaccines, explains Mandelli, «are arriving everywhere, but the Regions will then organize the vaccinations. Pharmacies will be able to carry out both vaccinations and the organizational machine, which has never stopped, is ready."
As for the start dates of the vaccination campaign, there will be some variability depending on the Regions.
In Lombardy, Mandelli underlined, «starting from 5 October the pharmacies will open their diaries and from 9 October citizens will be able to book, therefore starting from 16 October vaccinations will begin to be carried out».
