Bonuses, pensions, taxes . These are some of the topics dealt with by the second Council of Ministers led by Giorgia Meloni. At the end of the meeting, at the press conference, the premier underlined some fixed points: " The price of gas is falling but it will not last long if there are no serious and concrete signals ".

"The CDM has also approved the ministries decree which contains some news on the denominations we have chosen and which tell what are our priorities in the Government's action", said Meloni who was joined by Minister Piantedosi "to make the picture on the issue of migrants and NGO ships and on 'our questions' on the issue of migrants in Europe ”.

"We will configure another measure on the subject of energy as an amendment to the current aid in conversion decree": it concerns "the possibility of freeing up some Italian gas extraction by facilitating existing concessions and imagining new ones. We will ask concessionaires who join to put in exchange, gas between 1 billion and 2 billion cubic meters will be available from January to be allocated to energy-intensive companies at controlled prices ", said Meloni. “By 2022, thanks to the extra VAT and a favorable third quarter, we are able to free about 9 and a half billion that we would like to use on expensive energy next week ,” he anticipated.

Furthermore, “for 2023 we have made an important choice. In the Nadef (Update to the DEF, ed.) We predicted a net debt of 4.5% which then drops to 3% in 2025, and this allows us to free up 22-23 billion which we also intend to use exclusively for the expensive energy. In total, with Nadef we identify 30 billion for expensive energy up to 2023 ".

Finally, the CDM gave the green light to the rule on new concessions to increase gas extraction. It will be inserted, in the form of an amendment, in the aid decree ter under consideration by Parliament.
