"I'm ready to work with my community to make Sestu more competitive and capable of seizing the many opportunities available to it."
Michele Cossa breaks the deadlock and makes the long-awaited announcement: he's running for mayor of his hometown of Sestu. The Reform Party representative hesitated because the center-right fielded "two authoritative names: Matteo Taccori and Massimiliano Bullita. I thank Matteo and Massimiliano, along with the center-right political forces, who chose to support the regional leaders' proposal, identifying me as the most suitable candidate to lead Sestu for the next five years."
Today, the now-candidate explains, "I can say that the conditions have been created to accept my candidacy for the leadership of the municipality of Sestu, a human and civic reference point for me. I am running with a sense of duty and a spirit of service, placing my experience at the service of my fellow citizens."
Sestu is one of the Sardinian municipalities with the greatest potential for growth, "due to its strategic location near major roads (the 131 and 130) and the gateways to Sardinia (the port and the airport), the presence of strategic assets such as the Agri-food Market and the island's most well-structured commercial area, and its proximity to the University Hospital."
He emphasizes that his candidacy is "without fanfare, with respect and humility, aware that in politics, the value of experience is measured by the ability to serve people, to respond to concrete needs, to build credible solutions. This is the spirit with which I intend to continue to serve my region and my community."
