The curtain falls on the 19th edition of Cortinametraggio, the reference festival for short films. The winner of the competition, winning the Cortinametraggio Award with Enel - Best Overall Short Award, is Tilipirche by Francesco Piras, who also receives the Young Frecciarossa Award. Starring Giuseppe Ungari and Antonio Chessa, the short film shot in Noragugume - overwhelmed in 2022 by an unprecedented assault of locusts that destroyed all the countryside - tells of a violent invasion of locusts. The protagonist, a breeder, will be forced to face the passing of the baton from father to son for the management of their sheepfold.

There were many prizes at the event chaired by the founder Maddalena Mayneri and directed by Niccolò Gentili who has animated Cortina d'Ampezzo in recent days. The Best Director Award goes to Dive by Aldo Iuliano, a story of deep friendship, love and courage. The Titanus Special Award and the Municipality of Belluno Special Award to Francesco Sossai's film Enrico's birthday; the Rai Cinema Channel Award to Angela Norelli's social satire We Should All Be Futurist. The Andromeda Film Best Screenplay Award went to the story of female emancipation by Vera Munzi and Caterina Savadori Ánemos, while the noir-tinged comedy Un job facile facile by Giovanni Boscolo won the Best Comedy Award from Aermec, the Press Award Visottica, the Greenboo Special Prize and the Driade Special Prize.

The awards continue with the Audience Award - The Film Club and the San Benedetto Artigiani dello Spettacolo Award for the romantic comedy about artificial intelligence The Aquarium by Gianluca Zonta. Three awards also went to De l'amour perdu by Lorenzo Quagliozzi, an intimate and engaging human portrait set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied France, which took home the Anec and Fice Awards, the Weshort Award - Best Short Film Short Film and the Pianegonda for Best Actress, awarded to the talented Catherine Bertoni.

The Anpit Special Prize went to the very delicate Frammenti by Andrea Casadio, on one of the most tragic moments in recent history; the Pianegonda Best Actor Award to Niccolò Ferrero for the existential portrait of Tommaso Frangini Group photo; the Special Award for Best US Short to Thirstygirl by Alexandra Qin, a compelling and original story of two sisters and a journey that will change their lives forever; the Omnia Hotel Special Award to the coming-of-age story Wasted by Tobia Passigato.

This marks the end of one of the richest editions of the historic event, which looks forward to next year to celebrate the 20th edition.

The 19th edition of Cortinametraggio - of which Frecciarossa is the Official Train - was created in collaboration with the Air Force, State Police and the Port Authority Corps - Coast Guard, the Veneto Region, the Province of Belluno, the new IMAIE , the MIC, SIAE, Anec and Fice.
