Cagliari-Palermo will be the rossoblù's first match of the season, with a match valid for the 32nd finals of the Coppa Italia . The pairing with the rosanero was already probable, now it's also official.

Ranieri's men will host the Sicilians on Saturday 12 August, at 21.15 : should they continue in the draw, they would face the winner between Udinese and one between Catanzaro and Foggia in the round of 32 .

The sequel has also already been decided: going forward, there would be Pioli's Milan in the round of 16 and in the quarterfinals Atalanta or Sassuolo, Cosenza, Venice or Spezia.
