Tickets for flights in territorial continuity that will be operated by Ita Airways and Volotea starting from February 17 are on sale . The two airlines announced it.

Ita was awarded the tenders to manage the routes between Cagliari and the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate until 24 October 2024 and was authorized by the Region and ENAC to start the sale of tickets until 25 March 2023 , in advance of upon expiry of the terms for any acceptance without compensation and without exclusivity, scheduled for next January 31st.

As soon as it receives the authorizations for the summer season as well, the company "will also put these flights on sale".

On the Cagliari-Fiumicino route there are a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 frequencies per day; on Cagliari Linate 4 frequencies which will reach a maximum of 6 in October 2023 .

«Should any acceptances by other carriers occur within the aforementioned deadline, Ita Airways will undertake to guarantee the rerouting of passengers in favor of these carriers to the extent that this possibility is permitted by the respective booking systems; if this is not possible, the company will provide the guarantees envisaged by the Community legislation, with preference for the refund of the ticket and in respect of the passengers' rights".

And Volotea tickets are also on sale from today on the continuous route between Olbia and Fiumicino: three daily round-trip frequencies that will be operated starting from February 17 by the low cost , without economic compensation. Here too tickets on sale until March 25 , "but once we receive the green light from the competent bodies we will open ticket sales for the following months as well", said Valeria Rebasti, Volotea's Italy & Southeastern Europe country manager.

Authorization for AeroItalia on the Olbia-Milan route is still missing , but it should arrive in the next few hours. The negotiated procedure for the assignment of the air transport service in territorial continuity with compensation for the Alghero-Rome Fiumicino and Alghero-Milan Linate routes was launched yesterday via the SardegnaCAT telematic platform , after no company had submitted offers in the tender.
