The harpsichord is the protagonist of the next concert included in the series “I mercoledì del Conservatorio”, on June 25th at 7 pm in the Sassu room of the "Canepa" in Sassari. The concert is free.

The evening will open with Stefano Melis Sechi, who has already graduated in Organ and is currently a student in the two-year specialist course in Harpsichord with the teacher Marco Crosetto. In 2024 he won the first absolute prize in the Organ category at the 20th International Competition “Don Vincenzo Vitti”. Melis Sechi will perform the Suite n. 2 in D minor by Johann Jacob Froberger, the Capriccio sopra la Bassa Fiamenga by Girolamo Frescobaldi and the Concerto in Italian style in F major BWV971 by Johann Sebastian Bach.

In the second part, Jacopo Tore, concert performer, teacher and composer, will instead propose some harpsichord sonatas by Giovanni Battista Pescetti, Domenico Scarlatti, Baldassarre Galuppi, Giovanni Benedetto Platti.
