Alberto Cellino has been elected president of Confindustria Sardegna . The Presidential Council unanimously elected him this morning. Cellino succeeds Maurizio de Pascale.

Who he is – Born in Cagliari in 1966 and raised within the entrepreneurial company founded by his father Ercole, Alberto – brother of Massimo Cellino, former president of Cagliari and owner of Brescia – is the industrial entrepreneur who for over forty years has led the Cellino Group, one of the leading Italian agri-food companies, with a consolidated presence along the entire grain and food supply chain.

"Throughout his entrepreneurial career," explains a statement from Confindustria, "Cellino has demonstrated how economic growth and social responsibility can be combined through a highly integrated industrial model, capable of combining tradition, innovation, sustainability, and local development. He has established himself as a leading figure in the milling, pasta production, baked goods, animal feed, logistics, and large-scale retail trade sectors."

Priorities – "I accept this role with pride, enthusiasm, and a great sense of responsibility for the challenges that lie ahead," said the new president. He added: "The priorities are clear and are those Confindustria has long fought for: territorial continuity of goods, reduction of energy costs, investment in physical and digital infrastructure, and empowerment of young people. Confindustria Sardegna will be a place open to dialogue, discussion, and collaboration with institutions and all economic and social stakeholders, in the belief that development is built through shared goals and teamwork."

"My commitment," Alberto Cellino continues, "will be to forcefully represent all Sardinian businesses, listen to their needs, and translate them into concrete proposals. We are called upon to create the conditions so that doing business in Sardinia is not a daily challenge, but a concrete opportunity for development."
