Concert for organ, cello and piano in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Sassari

The protagonists are the organist Ugo Spanu, the "Duo Corallo" cello-piano Daniele Fiori-Juliette Aridon and the Juvenilia Orchestra conducted by Alessio Manca. Tomorrow evening at 20.30 the basilica of the Sacred Heart of Sassari hosts the final concert of the cycle dedicated to the German composer Max Reger and included in the Mediterranean Festival, organized by the Arte in Musica Association.
At the opening of the evening Ugo Spanu will perform the Fantasia op. 40 n°2 “Straf mich nicht in deinen zorn” by Reger with the organ of the basilica, the largest of the mechanical type on the island. Afterwards, Juliette Aridon at the piano and Daniele Fiori at the cello will propose the Romanza in G minor and the Capriccio and Piccola romanza op. 79 and again by Reger, the first movement of Sonata n°1 in G major op. 38 by Johannes Brahms and Gabriel Fauré's Elégie, op. 24.
The evening will be closed by the Juvenilia Youth Orchestra, born on the benches of the "Azuni" high school in Sassari, which will propose the "Andante lirico" by Max Reger, "Kol Nidrei" for cello and string orchestra by Max Bruch and the Elegia op. 58 by Piotr Ilic Tchaikovsky. Admission to the concert is free and free.
