This time the "climb" to the musical mountains is carried out by two brothers: the pianist Stefano Mancuso and his brother Alessandro, who were also born into a family of musicians. The appointment is for tomorrow at 7 pm at the Verdi theater in Sassari.
The concert focuses on Ravel's Sonata No. 2 and Prokofiev's Sonata No. 2 in D major, Op. 94. The Duo Mancuso will be introduced by Antonio Ligios.
The evening is included in the review “Le otto montagne”, organized by the Teatro e/o Musica cooperative. It offers a highly original program that combines the performance of some of the most famous sonatas for violin and piano in European musical literature with the climbing of high mountain peaks. The literary inspiration comes from “Le otto montagne”, narrated in the beautiful book, Strega Prize 2017, by the writer Paolo Cognetti.
