On the pitch yes but without the Largo one. The Constituent Assembly for Sassari confirms , this morning in its headquarters in Viale Umberto, that it will run alone in the municipal elections in June without joining the 10 acronyms that have identified Giuseppe Mascia as the candidate for mayor. «We represent the area of a free vote - declares its leader Mariano Brianda - made up of those voters who no longer find themselves in the old logic of the center-left and politics. And it is a majority electorate."

A vote defined as "useful" and intercepted in recent years by the work carried out by the Constituent Assembly. Many discussions with Campo Largo failed. « We asked for signs of change that have not arrived , in real terms and not just in terms of generational change. How to stay away from party apparatus and be open to civil society but we were denied everything. It was just 'come to us because we are interested in your votes'."

The chances of reaching the run-off against their opponents, Nicola Lucchi's Civici and Gavino Mariotti's centre-right, are also high . «If we got there, we would ask for the center-left's votes and I'm sure we will have them. In that case we will win hands down."

Finally, a consideration on the alleged "old stuff" of Campo Largo: «We asked for it to be changed and the response was negative. We think that politics must be renewed and that this city begins to breathe the new immediately."
