An agreement on the presidencies of the standing committees has not yet been reached , but it must be reached by November 3, the date set by Piero Comandini for the renewal of the parliamentary seats. The Assembly President's ultimatum is therefore the latest development that emerged from this morning's majority summit, attended by all the Campo Largo group leaders.

To accommodate the demands of AvS and Orizzonte Comune, the Democratic Party remains willing to give up a committee presidency (it currently holds four), while the M5S remains adamant: it intends to retain leadership of the Budget and Urban Planning Committees . The risk, if a compromise isn't reached by the 3rd, is that the election of the presidents will be held in the dark.

"AVS is calling for a presidency," reiterated group leader Maria Laura Orrù. "We hope that the political maturity of this majority will find a common ground." For PD group leader Roberto Deriu, "an agreement must be reached as quickly as possible. The Assembly president is right to urge all groups to reach an agreement."
