"The Democratic Party got more votes and has more regional councilors than the 5 Star Movement: it seemed that the 5 Star Movement would swallow up the PD in the regional elections, the result proved otherwise". Piero Comandini, president of the Regional Council and regional secretary of the PD, underlined this during today's intervention in the program "A tu per tu" on Radiolina, hosted by Alessandra Carta. "Should the 5 Star Movement talk less and work more? I am proud to speak internally with my people of the PD, I cannot allow myself to enter and talk about others. The PD has a different way of doing politics: it is not that of denunciation or of being on the front pages every day, even through social media . We have a relationship with the territories that is fundamental for us, a way of doing politics that is less spectacular and of daily protagonism. But we have the ambition of being a popular party that is close to the people. We do not want to build today, but tomorrow".
Comandini assures that "the majority is compact". And on Pratobello 24, three weeks after the delivery of over 210,000 signatures: "I feel like a representative of those people who signed Pratobello 24 and I feel the weight of my choices both in energy matters, but also in education and health" , he replies. "We are within an energy transaction, we have immediately taken control of this situation. We are the first to say that the plants must be built in suitable places: not where the multinationals choose but where the Council chooses, along all those places where the beauty of our land is not compromised".
Healthcare is another issue that Comandini addresses: «Unfortunately, it continues to be an extremely delicate issue in Sardinia», he specifies. «In recent years, healthcare has been the subject of reforms, by every government. We do not want to reform healthcare: it needs better organization. Let's start from what we have, without boxes to reward friends. There is a need to improve local healthcare, with the lack of a general practitioner or pediatrician. We must ensure that healthcare is no longer a battleground, but a place where citizens have the right to treatment and to have the fundamental services to improve the quality of their lives ». With the Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi who for him is not at risk: «The issue of the reshuffle excites many, but it is not on the agenda of either the president or this majority».
