Clown therapy, pet therapy and other activities for the care and management of patients to improve their quality of life: the Cagliari University Hospital Company is looking for third sector entities registered in the single national Third Sector register for at least six months, who wish to contribute to expressing a social value through general activities or services for patients and/or caregivers.

Applications must be sent no later than 11:59 p.m. on December 6th, following the instructions in the publication of the notice in the "Amministrazione Trasparente - Avvisi" section on the website www.aoucagliari.it.

The aim of the expression of interest is to involve institutions, associations and organizations that deal with the support and protection of patients and caregivers who go through diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative pathways at the AOU of Cagliari. The activities will be carried out at San Giovanni di Dio and at the Policlinico Duilio Casula for a total of 800 hours per week and must concern: moral support, dialogue and listening groups and support for managing anxiety; clown therapy and smile therapy; pet therapy; meal administration; hairdressing, barbering and personal care activities; reception services, transfer/transport of patients without caregivers. And also: information and dissemination activities; health education; training in the management of the daily life of patients with specific pathologies; recreational activities with literary, musical and cinematographic themes; creative workshops; recreational activities and non-medical complementary therapies (music therapy, art therapy and narrative medicine, manual relaxation techniques, distraction and communication therapy, specialists in the use of multisensory techniques).

The facilities involved in the activities are different: Medical Oncology, General and Emergency Medicine, Cardiology-Utic, Emergency Room, Emergency Surgery, Neurology, Neurology-ALS and Neurodegenerative Diseases Unit, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine and Liver Diseases, Anesthesia and Resuscitation with the Day Service of Palliative Care and Pain Therapy. The collaboration will be valid for 36 months with the possibility of extension.
