Claudio Baglioni, who has been diagnosed with acute interstitial pneumonia , has suspended concerts until 2027. The singer-songwriter announced the news in a video posted on his Instagram page , in which he discusses a 90-day prognosis for the disease and the need for rest and treatment.

The Grand Tour "Life is Now," which was due to debut on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Piazza San Marco in Venice and which would also have stopped in Sardinia with concerts in Alghero and Cagliari, has been postponed by exactly one year. Buyers who are unable to attend the postponed dates will be able to request a refund until June 30, 2026, through the sales channel used at the time of purchase.

In his message shared on social media, Baglioni began with a quote from "Uomo di vari età": "I held back my eyes and my lungs." A quote that, he says, "served precisely to describe an aspect of my life and my profession," he explains, because "the eyes and lungs are the real machine, the bellows that someone who does my job needs to be able to express themselves, to be able to sing." These very organs, he adds, "were the elements of myself that I had most to do with on the occasion of my 75th birthday."

Baglioni explains that he initially thought it was just the flu, but then, after tests, he discovered he has pneumonia. He's already recovered from it, having overcome the "most delicate phase," but now requires further treatment and a long recovery period . Hence the decision to postpone the entire tour "by exactly one year."

He then apologized to the fans, assuring them that the organization "will do its best" and that the calendar will remain "practically intact," starting in Venice and ending in Turin.

In closing, a quote from his song "La vita è adesso": "...The journey never ends, even if a dream falls... And the journey, indeed, will continue. And we hope many of us will take it and go very far."
