The Municipality of Sassari , in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia, also participates with two events in the European Heritage Days (GEP), the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe. The Sassari administration is offering two free events on Saturday 23 September , upon reservation.

The first is entitled " The City Palace and the descent of the Candelieri " and is scheduled at Palazzo di Città in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 35. Two guided tours upon reservation for a maximum of 20 participants per group, lasting one hour: one at 5pm and one at 6pm . Visitors will be able to visit the historical rooms of the Palazzo di Città, seat of the Municipality of Sassari from the 13th century until 1856 and a theater space since 1830. The palace still today becomes a nodal point during the city's main religious festival: the descent of the Candelieri. In fact, the toast to the twentieth anniversary takes place here and the mayor and the city council come out from the palace to follow the Candelieri in procession.

The thematic guided tour "Together with Monte d'Accoddi, to relive the religiosity and daily work of a prehistoric community" will be held in the archaeological area of Monte d'Accoddi from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, upon reservation for a maximum of 70 participants. The transmission of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, to future generations is one of UNESCO's fundamental missions. In harmony with these principles, an event is proposed which, through the narration of the ways of life of a prehistoric community, can convey to visitors the perception that, in the place where people lived, worked, worshiped the divinities and buried the deceased for a long time, the signs that this community has left are still legible.
