«Cinema theaters are cultural centers to be defended». This was said by the Undersecretary of Culture Lucia Borgonzoni during a visit to the Notorious multiplex, in Piazza L'Unione Sarda, in Cagliari.

«The Government – added Borgonzoni – has made more than 700 million available to support the film industry. After Covid there is a recovery of the sector and a gradual growth of the public. All this also thanks to the "Cinema Revolution" initiative for summer 2023 promoted by the ministry to bring the public back to cinemas".

The Undersecretary for Culture, welcomed by the administrator of Notorius Cinemas, Andrea Stratta, then focused on the national image education plan implemented in Italian schools of all levels and on the initiatives to celebrate Italian cinema at the Berlinale: «I am just returned from Berlin where we organized an event to present new Italian talents who thus had the opportunity to showcase themselves."

Borgonzoni also highlighted the power of cinema to promote territories. «Think of the phenomenon “The Little Mermaid”, a live action remake of the Disney classic, and of the other films, shot on the island, which have very effectively promoted the image of Sardinia».

The undersecretary for Culture then reached the headquarters of the editorial group L'Unione Sarda where she visited the editorial offices of the newspaper and Videolina and participated in "La Strambata" broadcast on Radiolina. In the video the interview with Lucia Borgonzoni.
