The 16th edition of the Figari International Short Film Fest concludes with the awards ceremony. In addition to the previously announced awards for actors Irene Maiorino and Francesco Gheghi, who shared the 2026 Beatrice Bracco Award, the event, held from June 15th to 20th in Golfo Aranci, added the awards for the winning short films on the final evening.

In the National section, the jury awarded “Festa in famiglia” by Nadir Taji, with a special mention for “Arborea” by Letizia Zatti . First place in the International section went to “Mesopotamia” by Lucy Gamades , with special mentions for “Living Stones” by Jákob Ladányi Jancsó and “Beyond Silence” by Marnie Blok . In the Animation section, the most appreciated short was “Shadows” by Rand Beiruty , while among the regional films , “Sa Babbaieca” by Matteo Banni took the lead.

The event awarded other prizes, including the WeShort Prize to the short film “Prove tecniche di empatia” by Jacopo Cullin , the Looking4 Prize to the director and screenwriter Selin Van Laethem and the producer Sven Spur , the Everblind audience prize with a special mention to “Beyond Silence” by Marnie Blok and the Rai Cinema Prize to “Tempi supplementari” by Matteo Memé , who also took home the France TV Prize.
