The long summer of the Tavolara Festival kicks off with the workshop on cinema professions. From tonight to Sunday, the Argonauti Polytechnic of Olbia will host the workshop directed by Gianluca Arcopinto.

Guests include directors Gregorio Sassoli and Alejandro Cifuentes and associate producer Guendalina Folador, who will share their experience starting from the film “San Damiano”, which they made. The film will be presented in preview tomorrow at 7 pm in an evening open to the public that anticipates the themes and the climate of dialogue that have always distinguished the festival organized by Marco Navone's Argonauti Association, which this year will also see Arcopinto as protagonist, with Neri Marcorè as artistic director.

The initiative, sponsored by MINI, aims to promote new talents and professions in the cinema industry, and will involve five students from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and a Sardinian student, selected to participate in an intensive course of study and comparison.

With this first event, the Tavolara Film Festival renews its commitment to training, sustainability and cultural promotion, and starts the season that will continue on 22 and 28 June with the previews of Porto Rotondo and Porto San Paolo, related to the screenings of the films "Emilio Lussu. Il processo" by Gianluca Medas and "Cenere" by Febo Mari in the form of a cine-concert, and from 15 to 20 July with the festival between La Peschiera di San Teodoro, the island of Tavolara and Porto San Paolo.
