Chiara Ferragni fell ill after suffering from altitude sickness during a hike at 5,000 meters on Rainbow Mountain in Peru, where she was vacationing.
"It was as if my body wasn't responding properly. I felt like I wasn't breathing properly, that my lungs weren't opening properly, that my arms weren't responding," the influencer said on social media, in a post accompanied by images of her wearing an oxygen mask with her new partner, José Hernandez, a Colombian businessman.
A feeling of discomfort caused by the altitude, which forced her to return to the hotel to take oxygen: "Here all the hotels are fully equipped with oxygen tanks...", she explained, reassuring her followers.
