Inter beat Salzburg 2-1 at San Siro and take an important step towards qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 .

The Nerazzurri suffered in the first few minutes and held on to Sommer, then took control of the match and took the lead in the 19th minute with a great shot into the top corner by Sanchez following an assist from Frattesi.

In the second half there is space for Barella , who comes on for Mkhitaryan and is welcomed by a standing ovation from the Curva Nord after the betting case in which he is not involved but was dragged into the middle by Fabrizio Corona's alleged source.

After a few minutes the Austrians found a momentary equalizer with Gloukh at the end of a beautiful team action. The joy doesn't last long because in the 64th minute Frattesi is brought down in the area and Calhanoglu converts the penalty to make it 2-1. Lautaro Martinez's 3-1 goal was ruled out for offside. Inzaghi's team, with 7 points in the standings after 3 days together with Real Sociedad, is now +4 on Salzburg, third with 3 points in group D. Benfica is last with 0 points.

Napoli also did well, winning 1-0 at Union Berlin thanks to the goal scored by Raspadori on an assist from Kvara in the 65th minute: in group C Real Madrid leads with 9 points, followed by the Neapolitans with 6, then Braga at 3 and Union Berlin at 0.
