A more than questionable penalty in injury time condemns Atalanta to defeat in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs. Three days before the match against Cagliari, Gian Piero Gasperini's team loses 2-1 at Club Brugge.

Lots of difficulties for the Bergamo team in the first quarter of an hour, so much so that in the 15th minute Club Brugge takes the lead: Talbi goes away on the right and crosses for Jutglà, who controls and finishes in the net . The home team's momentum lasts just over half an hour, then in the 41st minute Pašalić equalizes: throw-in with exchange between Zappacosta and the former De Ketelaere, cross of the first and precise header by the Croatian .

In the second half the Belgians were still dangerous at the start, with a couple of big chances. Then Atalanta emerged: in the 66th minute a cross from Cuadrado, a header from Zappacosta and a miracle from the home goalkeeper Mignolet . The action continued, Samardžić, freed in the area, crossed with his left and sent it wide. At the end Cuadrado also tried, a left-footed shot from the centre and Mignolet blocked it. But in the first minute of injury time the referee awarded a penalty to Club Brugge, for a (very light) tackle by Hien on Nilsson. Nilsson himself converted in the 94th minute, with Gasperini furious on the bench .

At 9pm Feyenoord-Milan for the other Italian, then Celtic-Bayern Monaco and Monaco-Benfica . Yesterday Brest-Psg 0-3, Juventus-Psv Eindhoven 2-1, Manchester City-Real Madrid 2-3 and Sporting Cp-Borussia Dortmund 0-3.
