Last night in Castelsardo the fishermen renewed the ritual of the famous procession to the sea , in honor of their patron Saint Anthony of Padua , whom they have always affectionately called "Santo Antoneddu" , also to distinguish him from Sant'Antonio Abate.

In reality, the feast of the saint, according to the calendar, is officially June 13, but Dorian fishermen have been celebrating it for decades in August , at the height of the summer tourist season. In fact, there were many tourists who, together with the residents, did not want to miss the suggestive anniversary.
