The Minister for the South Mara Carfagna guest of the second appointment of the political training school of the Sardinian Reformers.

In his speech, via videoconference, the exponent of Forza Italia announced: "With the Region of Sardinia and the extraordinary commissioner Aldo Cadau I will promote a table to understand what are the needs of the Sardinian Zes (the Special Economic Zone, ed.) In terms of funding and to program those necessary to be able to support it economically ".

Carfagna recalled that compared to the other seven, the Sardinian area "was left behind for a series of bureaucratic reasons. Now we have unblocked the situation and we can start on a par with the others".

Due to the delay, the Sardinian area will benefit in minimal part of the 630 million euros included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the Zes. That of the island, at the moment, specified the minister, "is the owner of an investment of ten million to improve the connection between the port of Cagliari and the state road 195, but this is only the first of a series of infrastructural interventions that we will program with national development and cohesion funds ".

A few days ago a development contract was also established for all the Zes that the government financed with 250 million euros. "We will ask Minister Carfagna that they are not divided equally into eight equal parts, but that a greater number of resources be allocated to Sardinia - Commissioner Cadau announced instead - on the other hand, we only took ten million". Again, Carfagna underlined that "the Government has bet a lot on the Zes because they will be a driving force for the South and a pole of attraction for national and international investments".

Precisely for this reason "we have included them in the NRP through a credit line of 630 million to guarantee their infrastructure and through a reform that has strengthened governance, simplifying procedures and increasing tax breaks". Thanks to this reform, he added, "today the extraordinary government commissioner has real powers to be the only interlocutor of those who intend to invest in those areas. Those interested will be able to enjoy a tax credit that we have increased from 50 to 100 millions for each investment and will be able to submit the application through a digital one-stop shop that will be operational in the coming weeks ".
