Three straight games lost after having a comfortable lead. At PalaDesio, too, the ending was bitter: Cantù defeated Sassari 80-78. Now Dinamo is alone in second-to-last place, just two points ahead of Treviso (still winning), which has a better field goal differential in head-to-head matches and must play an extra game because it has already rested, unlike Thomas and his teammates.

Banco started well, even reaching +10 just before the end of the quarter by making the most of their rebounding and paint superiority (especially with Thomas), but then in the second quarter they conceded a 13-1 run that gave the home team renewed courage, and they went into halftime at 45-42.

Upon returning, the white-and-blues again moved the ball well, and, led by Marshall (21 points) and some flashes from Macon, they went up by eight points by the 32nd minute. However, they once again began to lose too many balls. Marshall's steps, a very short shot from an underperforming Buie, and yet another turnover in a final stretch by Macon. At 78-78, Cantù only had one free throw through Bortolani (who came on for Ballo, who suffered a "strategic injury"), but on the winning play, Macon fired at the rim.

Coach Veljko Mrsic said: "I don't want to see heads bowed: the team played a good match, but we need to be more responsible in crucial moments. In the next few games, the names of our opponents won't matter: with a little more focus and responsibility, we can do better and try to win as many as possible to secure survival."
