Those who have time, don't wait. While waiting to free themselves from Frosinone (to which they are linked both as head of the technical area and as a member of the Board of Directors), Guido Angelozzi is already thinking and moving as the new sporting director of Cagliari and is starting to weave the web for Fabio Pisacane's team with whom he had a long discussion on Sunday at a restaurant in Milan. The renewals and buyouts are the first knots to untie, around which the rossoblù market will - inevitably - revolve. The expert Sicilian manager, however, is widening the scope of action to include possible entries. With two very hot names that are inflaming the expectations of the new coach and the president Tommaso Giulini himself: Matteo Cancellieri and Giuseppe Ambrosino. The first is a right winger born in 2002, the second a central striker born in 2003. Contacts have already begun, respectively, with Lazio and Napoli in the hope that they can soon turn into real negotiations.

The right time?

A true Roman, Cancellieri passed through the Giallorossi youth teams but it was Lazio, who still own his contract, who really took a chance on him. Last season he was one of the protagonists of Parma's salvation despite having to stop for two months due to injury. He still scored 3 goals in 20 games (one more than Luvumbo who played much more) of which two against Milan, between the first and second legs, and one against Atalanta. Parma has a right of redemption but will not exercise it: Cancellieri will thus return to Lazio with whom he has a contract until 2027 and, together with the Biancocelesti managers and his agent, is trying to understand what the ideal path could be now. The idea of Cagliari intrigues him, and not a little. Last summer there had already been an expression of interest from the rossoblù club which, however, did not go further. Will this be the right time?

Light blue idea

Napoli School, instead, Ambrosino. He can be a valid alternative to Piccoli, but also a shoulder. Angelozzi had him last year at Frosinone in Serie B (5 goals and 4 assists overall) and now considers him ready for the big leap (always among the cadets he also wore the jerseys of Como, Cittadella and Catanzaro). The good relationship between Cagliari and the Neapolitan club (where he will return when the dry loan in Ciociaria expires at the end of the month) could facilitate the operation. In the meantime, he is busy in Slovakia with the Under 21 for the European Championships. He has been used by coach Nunziata in all three games played so far by the Azzurrini, in the last one with Spain even from start to finish. And in these days he will surely have had the opportunity to ask Matteo Prati for information on Cagliari, the city and the environment in general. On the Island he would find, among other things, a Neapolitan coach, not exactly a detail for someone born in Procida.
