The 43rd edition of the European Jazz Expo organized by Jazz in Sardinia with the artistic direction of Massimo Palmas continues in the spaces of the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari.
After the great opening day, with some super big names of the international jazz scene such as Rita Marcotulli and the Norwegians Rymden, space for the artists of today's second evening, Saturday 7 October, which comes to life, in the large hall at 7.30 pm, with the charm of the lute Arabic by Anouar Brahem, an authentic enchanter of the oud, accompanied on stage by his quartet, and considered throughout the world as an extraordinary master capable of enhancing the acoustic magic of a thousand-year-old sound.
At 9pm, in room M2, we return to the heart of the island's musicality with Nur Bisu, Matteo Muntoni's new album released last February on the S'ard Music/Jazz label in Sardinia.
At the same time, again at 9pm, but in the open-air space of the Terrace, guests will be the virtuosos of Paolo Carrus's New Ensemble, while in the foyer, again at 9pm, Arrogalla returns with his musical project dedicated to the much-loved Daniela Zedda, photographer of tip of L'Unione Sarda recently disappeared.
At 10pm, on the main stage, the long-awaited concert by Camilla George Quartet, the saxophonist, composer and bandleader, protagonist of the new London jazz scene, nominated for the 2017 and 2018 Urban Music Awards as best jazz artist.
The night of the second day of the Festival ends in the foyer of the Theater accompanied by the vibrant musical selections of the Aftershows-Lines & Spaces curated by Macaco-Fresh Tuna & Funko Franco.
