Fine wines from Romangia, amidst music and entertainment, authenticity and tradition. These are the ingredients of Calici di Stelle, taking place in Sennori on Friday, August 8th, starting at 7:30 PM at the Tourist Center on Via Rosa Gambella, which is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors to the most anticipated event of the year. Not only food and wine, but also the excitement of the recent recognition of the marvelous Domus de Janas as a World Heritage Site.

Along the route, ten tasting stations will be set up where you can sample the fine local wines produced by Agreste Natura, Cantina Leo Conti, Cantina Fara, Cantina Nuraghe Cabrioni, Cantina Mode, Cantina Ruiu, Cantina Sorres, Viticoltori di Romangia, Nico Loriga, and Giacomo Urgeghe . The Il Lentischio cultural association will also have a space dedicated to Moscato, a true institution with its DOC in Sennori.

The route will be enlivened by music from local bands, while stories of the grape harvest and local wineries will make the tastings unique . Four food stands will offer the "su Fossu" appetizer at the two Sennori Basketball stands; a first course of Sardinian gnocchetti at the San Biagio Committee stand; fruit at the Santa Lucia Committee stand; and desserts with amaretos and tiricas at the San Giovanni Committee stand. Bread-making workshops will be held (from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the outdoor space of the Cultural Center) led by Gianfranca Dettori; dessert workshops (from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Via Farina Community Center led by Maria Fara and the women of the center); and a basket-making workshop (via Vittorio Emanuele).

The route will feature demonstrations of the preparation of the typical local dish, "Su fossu," and the making of Sardinian gnocchetti. There will also be exhibitions and art installations , and stargazing with the Turritana Astronomical Association. The Domus de Janas in the parish garden will be open, hosting performances by the Sennori Polyphonic Choir and dances by the folk groups "Janas" and "SosFemminedos."

The theme of the evening will be "peace," a message from Romania against all wars and against every single act of daily violence . The organizers will have the peace flag printed on their T-shirts. Anyone interested can leave a small donation to Emergency for Palestine.
