Calamosca beach in Cagliari is located on the western side of the promontory of Capo Sant'Elia; it was once a protected landing place by the Tower of San Filippo, a large Spanish building transformed into a lighthouse.

On the cove there is a hotel.

The beach is small in size and has gray and coarse sand. The sea is green and shallow.

Crowded in high season, Calamosca is poorly clean, with frequent presence of beached seagrass beds.

HOW TO REACH IT - After having crossed viale Diaz, turn right (south) before the Poetto, towards the district of San Bartolomeo; follow the signs and pass a long line of military buildings, until you reach, at the bottom of a slope, the parking area of the beach, accessible by a flight of steps.
