The Cala D'Ambra Music Festival returns with a grand evening dedicated entirely to traditional Sardinian music. Led by artistic director Carlo Sezzi, the festival, now in its fifth year, boasts a rich lineup of musical influences in 2026, encompassing blues, soul, jazz, Mediterranean and Latin American sounds, as well as singer-songwriter music.
The festival opens on Saturday, June 27th at 7:00 PM with "Raighinas," a special evening dedicated to Sardinia's cultural roots. Taking the stage will be Totore Chessa & Cambales from Irgoli, the Stellaria Choir from Brunella, the Juanne Piu Folk Group from Siniscola, Tore & Massimo from Torpè, and the Mini Folk Group from San Teodoro, all in an event designed to celebrate the island's identity, memory, and tradition. The musical journey continues on Saturday, July 4th with Alberto Visentin and the BlueSunset Band, offering a rich exploration of blues and soul with international influences. On July 11th, the Federico Piras Trio "Pipiniti" will perform, while on July 18th, Mondo Albato will take the stage with its original and contemporary sounds. On Saturday, July 25th, the trio of Roberto Luti, Elisabetta Maulo, and Carlo Sezzi, musicians united by a refined musical exploration that blends blues and improvisation, will take center stage. August will open with Sophia Murgia, aka “Solosophia,” one of the most interesting young emerging voices on the new Sardinian music scene.
On August 8th, Laura Mura will headline with her project "Umbrellas for Green Men," while the Cala D'Ambra Festival's Ferragosto (August 15th) will bring the energy and Latin American vibes of Quarto de Cuba to the stage. August 22nd will be dedicated to Italian music with the Rino Gaetano Tribute Band, while on August 29th the festival will host one of the most anticipated events of the 2026 edition, the Barranco Quartet, who will present their new album accompanied by a string quartet, in a production that blends jazz elegance and chamber music influences. Closing the festival on Saturday, September 5th, will be Matt Pascale & The Stomp with an evening of rhythm, blues, and rock 'n' roll. In addition to the Saturday concerts, the unmissable "Appuntamento al Blu Notte" (Date at the Blu Notte) will also return, a series of musical encounters and jam sessions that will enliven Cala d'Ambra beach in front of the Bar Esagono terrace every Monday from June 29th to August 31st. From 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, artists and audiences will share moments of improvisation and live music in a charming and informal atmosphere. On Monday, August 31st, the Blu Notte will also host the Open Act of the San Teodoro Jazz Festival, a special event that will officially open the 2026 edition of the jazz festival. The Cala D'Ambra Music Festival is organized by the La Jacia Cultural Association in collaboration with the Hotel-Bar L'Esagono and with the patronage of the Municipality of San Teodoro.
