CagliariRespira confirms itself as a great success. The half marathon, now in its fifteenth edition, confirms itself as one of the most popular in Sardinia.

Record number of participants in the 21 km, queen of the event: 1,050. Over 3 thousand participants instead if we also consider the KARALIStaffetta, the SEIKaralis and the numerous children present at the KIDSRun on Saturday afternoon.

A very strong mistral made the race more difficult, but the athletes still spent a great day full of sport and fun.

The half marathon was won by Simon Kibet Loitanyang (UP Policiano Arezzo Atletica) in 1:07:43, always in the lead right from the start. After the 2021 victory, 2022 runner-up Khalid Jbari (Athletic Club 96 Alperia) reconfirms his place with a time of 1:10:29. Third Ismail El Haissoufi (Atl. Rimini Nord Santarcangelo).

Among the women, Claudia Pinna of Cus Cagliari triumphed (1:20:43, ahead of Elisabetta Orrù (Atl. Edoardo Sanna Elmas) and Roberta Ferru (Asd Cagliari Atletica Leggera)

The Karali men's relay Antonio Nuvoli and Jyotish, the women's Angela Addis and Valeria win

Baltolu (Athletic Academy Olbia) and the mixed Adriana Dessì and Valerio Caredda (GS-Ogliastra).

A success also on the solidarity side: the associations that have joined will be able to finance their projects and objectives thanks to the sale of the bibs of the non-competitive SeiKilometer. Competition in which the members of the associations themselves took part in large numbers.
