The Cagliari Primavera team fell at the home of league leaders Inter and moved away from the playoff zone. But a questionable refereeing episode decided the match. In the 17th minute the referee showed Marcolini a red light for a late tackle on Spinaccè, in a central area of the pitch. A warning would certainly have been the most correct sanction, but for the referee the foul by the Cagliari midfielder is a red card.

Cagliari, who in the first quarter of an hour had held the field well and tried some offensive sorties on the counter with Vinciguerra, therefore found themselves forced to play in numerical inferiority for over seventy minutes.

Inter came out and took the lead in the 33rd minute with Sarr , who replaced Spinaccè (forced to leave the field after the tackle with Marcolini). The Nerazzurri's goal comes with Cagliari down to nine men due to Cogoni's temporary injury. Three minutes pass and Chivu's team doubles the lead with Owusu . The attacking winger is quick to steal the ball from Cogoni's feet and pierce Iliev in the area. At the end of the first half, Inter had the chance to take a 3-0 lead, again with Sarr.

In the second half the league leaders controlled the match without pressing the accelerator too much. Cagliari, however, did not give up and in the 64th minute they reached the conclusion with Idrissi coming out narrowly. The rossoblù, when they can, look forward, conceding something in the defensive phase.

Inter, however, are cynical and ruthless and in the 83rd minute they find the hat-trick with Berenbruch who closes the game.

The rossoblù return home with zero points and with the regret of having faced the league leaders with one man less for a good part of the match.

Now, for Pisacane's team, the issue of the playoffs is becoming more complicated. The hope for the Sardinian team is that Torino and Sassuolo (who have yet to take the field) do not collect points on this 30th day of the championship.
