Cagliari suffered their second consecutive league defeat at home to Bologna, losing 2-0.

Who goes up

Paul Mendy

Rather than rising, he's staying steady (which is already a success these days for Cagliari). He's the youngest of the bunch, yet many of his more seasoned teammates should take a leaf out of the book from the spirit of sacrifice he displayed both Monday in Monza and yesterday at Unipol Domus. His attitude doesn't change based on the result; he's always on the ball. He fights for every ball with enviable and constructive energy. He sacrifices himself for the team when not in possession, while still keeping an eye on the opponent's goal. It's no coincidence that he was the only one to try against Bologna, first with a volley and then with a header.

Who's coming down?

Ze Pedro

He's been on the decline—perhaps—since before the entire team gave up. Offensive thrust has never been his strong point, admittedly. Now, however, his coverage is lacking. At least, compared to the standards he'd accustomed us to last season and at the start of this one. He's exhausted, less reactive, and less meticulous. And in one-on-one situations, he doesn't have the same impact, also because he's often forced to chase down his opponent. As if he were running out of steam and needed a breather.
