Cagliari returns from the Olimpico with their fourth straight defeat, this time against Lazio (2-1). Here's who's rising and falling in the Rossoblu's stock market.
Who's Going Up – Jacopo Fazzini
He had most to lose, but instead he regained the credibility he'd lost more or less suddenly. With strength, with anger, even with arrogance. Always with quality. And by staying constantly on the ball, with a morbid focus and a fine pace considering he'd played just six minutes in the last five matchdays and hadn't started since September 12th (in Bergamo). Quick to anticipate, good at moving the ball both in tight spaces and with measured passes. He often looked for goal and narrowly missed the post at the end of the first half, immediately after Lazio's equalizer. He'll have a chance to try again, perhaps as early as Saturday against Frosinone. Welcome back, Jacopo.
Who's Coming Down – Adam Obert
The duel with Isaksen exhausted him to the point of being sent off. Under-exerted, under-par, under the Danish train, and more. Between the games against Roma and Lazio, he made a series of mistakes; it was better to return to the capital for a vacation and enjoy it. Quality, tactical intelligence, and experience aren't always enough to bridge the physical, and consequently mental, gap. He'd already been short of breath after his commitments against Slovakia, but he continued to push on. Paying the price. Paradoxically, the forced one-match suspension imposed by the Sports Judge couldn't have come at a better time.
