Cagliari resumed training this afternoon at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini. Davide Nicola, after Friday night's 1-0 win over Verona, had given the team three days' rest, and they returned to training for the first time this week. The next round of Serie A is on the horizon, Sunday at 12:30 with the away match at the Franchi against Fiorentina: the away section is already sold out, with many fewer seats than usual (around 300) due to the work in progress at the stadium in Florence .

Cagliari began this afternoon's session with activation exercises, accompanied by ball possession drills. Training then continued with a series of small-sided, high-intensity games.

Tomorrow the rossoblù will train in the morning . Also tomorrow, but at 9 pm, Fiorentina will play in the Coppa Italia at home against Empoli: it will be the first match after the illness suffered by Edoardo Bove (still in hospital) on Sunday with Inter.
