Cagliari, three goals in their first friendly: Ospitaletto defeated 3-1

Cagliari won 3-1 in their first pre-season friendly. In Temù, amidst a downpour that caused several problems during the first half, the Rossoblù defeated Serie C side Ospitaletto Franciacorta.

Cagliari initially started with a 3-5-2 formation : Caprile; Zappa, Wieteska, Obert; Zortea, Adopo, Liteta, Deiola, Idrissi; Luvumbo, Piccoli. Eight minutes and four seconds later, the first goal of the season was scored by Zito Luvumbo, who, after a back-heel from Zortea, entered the area from the center-right and, after holding off an opponent's counterattack, beat Sonzogni .
