In Formello, Cagliari Primavera beat Lazio 3-1 and achieved their second consecutive victory in the championship against a direct competitor for the playoffs. The rossoblù close the first round with 27 points and are currently in sixth place awaiting the matches against Atalanta and Sassuolo, played against Fiorentina (at 2.30pm) and Empoli (at 3pm) respectively.

The match

Good start for the rossoblù who already broke the deadlock in the 9th minute with captain Carboni heading home after the crossbar hit by Achour. At 1-0 Cagliari manages with good dribbling, putting the match to sleep and taking risks in a few situations. Lazio emerged from the half hour and only built two chances, in the 37th and 47th minutes, with Gonzalez and Sulejmani.

The second half opens with Sanderra's team trying to crush Cagliari in their own half. But in the 50th minute the hosts were left with ten men due to Sardo's expulsion for a second yellow card. The match seems to be going downhill for Cagliari but in the 52nd minute Gonzalez scores the equalizer with a low shot from outside the area that mocks Iliev.

Pisacane's team did not lose their composure and, after ten minutes, took the lead again with Achour . In the 29th minute, Cagliari took the lead 3-1 with a long-range Eurogoal from Balde , a winger from outside the area following a corner. In the final, Pisacane's team managed the advantage, risking only once, in the 86th minute, with Iliev saving on Nazzaro.

Next weekend the rossoblù will host Monza at the Crai Sport Center for the first day of the return round.
