The spotlight on the Temù pitch, where the new Cagliari is being born, is inevitably on the likes of Piccoli, Caprile, Luvumbo, Zortea, Gaetano, and soon Mina, around whom the fans' attention and hopes are focused. The most eagerly awaited player in this training camp in Alta Val Camonica, however, is Fabio Pisacane, the product of a historic turning point in some respects, likely born the moment he lifted the Coppa Italia to the skies from the Primavera bench. He was a predestined choice for many within the club, especially for president Tommaso Giulini, who perhaps chose him before he had even chosen him, and went straight for it, dribbling past the most skeptical and even sacrificing sporting director Bonato (who didn't share his sentiments) in order to go all the way.
Today is the second day of training camp for Cagliari, who, watched by a hundred or so fans, are working hard in the cool of Val Camonica, at an altitude of 1,300 meters in the province of Brescia. The highlight of their preparation will be the friendly in Austria against Turkish champions Galatasaray on Wednesday, July 27.
Season ticket sales for the 2025-26 season begin today, and run until July 31st. The season kicks off on Sunday, August 24th at 6:30 PM against Fiorentina.
