Handel, Grieg, and the magic of Harry Potter with the dreamy atmospheres of Williams : this is the program for the event that closes the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari's summer musical program, performing at the Lazzaretto di Sant'Elia. The event will take place on August 8th, 9th, and 10th at 9:00 PM.
The large and panoramic square of the Art and Culture Centre hosts three special evenings dedicated to Handel's famous symphonic-choral works, passing through the equally famous Norwegian and Russian atmospheres of Grieg and Borodin , to arrive at the magic and emotion of the fantastic world of Harry Potter set to music by Williams , in the interpretation of the Orchestra and Choir of the Lirico di Cagliari, conducted by Andrea Solinas.
Born in Sassari in 1985, Solinas, with a solid artistic background, returns to Sardinia to direct the foundation's two permanent ensembles. The choirmaster is Giovanni Andreoli. The 2025 summer musical program at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, from July 4th to August 12th, featured 11 evenings of performances, featuring five distinct musical programs, in fascinating locations around the city, as well as archaeological sites and important towns in the Sulcis and Ogliastra regions. The performances last approximately one hour and do not include an intermission.
