These are some of the measures presented by the rector of the University of Cagliari Francesco Mola and by the pro-rector for internationalization, Alessandra Carucci, to lend a hand to young people and researchers from the country invaded by Russia. There are also three one-year research grants worth 20 thousand euros.
Free language courses are also scheduled for Ukrainian students and teachers who will arrive in Sardinia.
Twenty-two students from the country at war, 17 girls and 5 boys. The University of Cagliari is also organizing hospitality with other entities for those arriving in Sardinia. A mailbox has also been activated to address requests for support and help and for any support actions.
"We immediately asked ourselves - explains the rector - what to do to help out. Our weapons are tolerance, culture, growth. And we have strengthened these weapons. We register a lot of generosity from Sardinia, there are those who also have offered housing for reception. We have fielded 200 thousand euros ".
Among the initiatives there is also a possible psychological support for those in difficulty. "We are partisans of peace - said Mola - we do not close the doors to anyone, there are no good or bad peoples, we are close to those who suffer".
