Negotiations stalled for a week due to Beşiktaş's need to keep him for the Europa League, but they can now be concluded: Semih Kiliçsoy's arrival from Cagliari is a done deal. The young striker, born in 2005, joins the Rossoblu on loan with an option to buy. He will undergo a medical tomorrow, becoming the club's fourth new signing after Gennaro Borrelli, Michael Folorunsho, and Luca Mazzitelli.
Kiliçsoy played his last match for Beşiktaş yesterday, coming on in the 65th minute for Tammy Abraham in the Istanbul side's 2-0 defeat in Wrocław , Poland, where Shakhtar Donetsk plays, unable to play in Ukraine due to the war. The Turks lost the first leg 2-4 and are eliminated from the Europa League, having been relegated to the Conference League. However, Kiliçsoy will not play in that competition for the Bianconeri.
The agreement between Cagliari and Beşiktaş was reached in recent days, but the Turkish club needed to complete the second qualifying round of the Europa League for it to be finalized . Kiliçsoy, who turns 20 on August 15, arrives at the Rossoblu on loan with an option to buy for twelve million euros. Last season, he scored three goals in 32 appearances in the Turkish Süper Lig, plus another in the Europa League, while in the 2023-24 season he scored twelve goals in all competitions.
