The first half

Cagliari trailed Sassuolo by one goal at half-time. First half decided by a goal from Erlic after 7'.

Both teams start with the 4-2-3-1, but the visitors' one is more effective. Scuffet is miraculous on Henrique's header after 5', manages Vina's shot a minute later and has to surrender to Erlic's header from a corner (7'). Cagliari not received.

Ranieri tries to change the formation, moving to 4-3-1-2, with Nandez in the middle and Oristanio closer to Lapadula. The rossoblù seem more balanced, they collect corners and the most dangerous opportunity to equalize comes from the corner (20'), but on Prati's close-range header, Consigli saves himself with the help of Castillejo.
