The end of summer in Cagliari is tinged with magic and poetry: from September 9th to 20th, Piazza del Carmine hosts “Su Cramu Bivit,” the festival conceived by Il Crogiuolo – Centro di intervento teatrale , which transforms one of the city center's symbolic spaces into a laboratory of performing arts, culture, and socializing.
A now traditional event, capable of restoring value to a place and, at the same time, educating the eye to appreciate its beauty. Here, the theater doesn't simply entertain the audience, but arrives with the idea of building relationships, encounters, and shared memories.
The program opens on September 9th at 9 pm with "Manoviva," a show by the Girovago & Rondella company, considered one of the few Italian families of high-level street artists. Two hands become puppets and, without words but with music and poetry, bring to life a miniature circus of juggling and surreal acrobatics.
On September 12th, it's the turn of itinerant music with Juri Deidda on saxophone aboard an Ape Calessino for “Musica sulle ruote,” produced by Palazzo d'Inverno.
The busiest day is September 18th : from 6pm, there will be a travelling entertainment show by Barbariciridicoli with “Comare Vardetta”, followed by the children's theatre of S'Arza with Topi cianfrusaglie, the dance show Perseo e Medusa by Asmed, the street theatre of Antas Teatro with Paradura and, at 9pm, the energy of Gasparato from Teatro del Sottosuolo.
September 19th is circus theatre night : at 7.30pm Happiness by Le Voci di Astarte, and at 9pm the show by Madame Brulle by Teatro Circo Maccus.
The closing, on September 20th, will be entrusted to Gianluca Medas with Antine and his Lupu , accompanied by Nicola Agus and his instruments, and followed at 9pm by Intrecci di vita e di lavoro by La Fabbrica Illuminata.
Under the aegis of the municipal Department of Productive Activities, "Su Cramu Bivit" thus confirms its vocation: bringing culture back to the people, in the heart of the city, transforming a square into a shared experience.
